Just came across a recipe for "Pumpkin Wine" in an old wine book. Anyone ever tried it?? Recipe calls for 6lbs pumpkin for each 1 gallon wine!! We could make a lot of wine with some of these giants!

Poppy some times you can get things called Hazes in the wine the more commen one and easiest to test is pectin to test put 4 tsp meths with 1 tsp of wine if it forms gelly like clots or stringy stuff it is a positive test get a commercial pectin enzyme and it should fix the prob. There are a couple of different types of hazes such as starch and protein just cant remember off top of the head how to test for them
