Western Pa.

Well folks, the spring peepers have begun to peep here in Western Pa! If my calculations are correct, that means that the last frost in the area will be May 6. Let's see how close we come!

Peepers are actually The North American Tree Frog. They "peep" every night in spring when they are laying their eggs. They can be found almost anywhere around here so everybody calls them one thing.

We find them pesky peepers all over the farm. They get under the door tread plates in the barn and garage and "Peep, Peep, Peeep" drives the cats crazy! Actually more of a high pitched "Croak, Croak, Croak" We welcome the tree frogs as it means that spring is here! Now if I can only get them to attack tiller jackers!!!
