If I sold jack-o-lantern sized pumpkins around Halloween and Thanksgiving, what price do you think I should sell them for apiece.

Hi Jack-o-lantern91,,, Here in Oregon where I live they sell for 10 to 15 cents a pound. Or at a place where I take my kids they take a piece of ply wood, cut holes for different size pumpkins. Start from small to large. Then they sell for $2 to $5. They sell by the way they fit into the holes. That is how they determine the prices. I hope this helps. polka dot

At 15 cents per pound, a 1200 lb world record pumpkin would be worth $180!! Hardly enough to pay for the irrigation eqipment, let alone the fertilizer, compost, BigPumpkin T-Shirt, how-to-book and beer. R-we nuts or what? Thank heavens its fun! Bill C.

My husband hasn't said anything about the cost. Growing pumpkins is alot more fun and less stressful that teaching Sp. Ed. kids.
