Subject: Liquid Seaweed, Kelp, Fish, etc.

I know that Liquid seaweed kelp and fish help thicken the pumpkin, but is it true that they do this by providing micronutrients to the plant. If so, is it ok for me to use A fertilizer for vegetables that says it already had added micronutrients, as i cannot find any of the other high potassium stuff nearby (and i am to young to buy over internet!)
