article states an increase in germination rate also?? Yeah I know it doesn't list Pumpkins, the very reason I am asking!! :<)

Because our seeds are so much bigger, I would experiment on "culled" seeds first. A call to Judy might be in order too.

(Hot water treatment: Properly used, this treatment kills most disease-causing organisms on or within seed. This treatment is suggested for seeds of eggplant, pepper, tomato, cucumber, carrot, spinach, lettuce, celery, cabbage, turnip, radish and other crucifers. Improper treatment can cause seed injury. Real Good Idea Doesn't look like it would work on Pumpkins but will use on other seeds in the garden. Hope this helps mark
