For those of you that missed it,(I know I did!), I've prepared a little "guide to Niagara Falls". You can view it by clicking on the "Odds and Ends" link.

Kilr. Some more help for the US visitors. GST = Goods & Services Tax 7%. HST is really PST = Provincial Sales Tax 8%. Labatt's = Blue. The beer store guy or gal may look at you funny if you ask for Labatts. They make many different kinds of beer. You may refer to it as a Two-four, Box or Case of Blue. However DUI penalties are severe so you should consider having a DD if you go out.
There are also many good bed&breakfast places to stay at.
The whirlpool aero car is another fine attraction to vist it is just south of the falls toward Niagara on the Lake.
Don't forget the tunnels under the falls too. They are a good adventure as well.
The Falls. I have read that up to 60% or more of the natural water flow is diverted during the daytime hours to generate hydro electric power for New York State and Ontario.
Welland canal is only a few miles away to the west. The welland canal is part of the St.Lawrence Seaway system. Large errr.... Huge Great Lakes & Ocean going vessels can be seen up close as they coast up or down, across the Niagara escarpment from Lake Erie to Lake Ontario. This is a very interesting no cost two or three hour trip. Follow Hwy. #20 out of the falls until you reach the canal. Then simply drive around until you find a lock or sit back and wait a few minutes for a ship to pass by. http://www.greatlakes-seaway.com/en/home.html

Hey! That's a pretty cool little travel guide you got there Jim. I just printed that off to take with me. Thanks for the time you took to make that list up and put it together. Kyle
