I have posted my first 2004 diary entry and with it is a jpeg. of some possible SPGA logo designs, created by our own Frank Edwards...simply amazing!
What would *your* choice be?
(It'll be there as soon as Ken or John approves it)
I also have to give credit to Toby Atencio, aka Mr. Sprout, for sending me a beautiful creation he so graciously sent me too..I'll post that one as well.

I have two favourites:
Either the one on the top of entry no. 1 or the one in entry no. 2. If I had to decide one one I would take the one in entry no. 2.

I like the one on the first entry....on the right hand side, second from the bottom. It says SPGA and has the states outlined.

I like the designs, but something important seems to be missing. Where is the Dixie Flag?

I like Toby's or the one with the states carved into the pumpkin. They all look great. Alex.

I like the top one on 1st page

I also vote for the top one on entry 1. Only problem I see is if you add states in the future, then you would need to change the states background?

I take it someone has decided to eliminate the "Eastern" from the name/logo. I've seen it both ways for a while. Ok with me either way.
I like the first one too, though the words "Pumpkin Growers Association" might be rendered unreadable when the logo is shrunk down(to say, go on a golf shirt, left breast placement). Defintely off to a good start. BF
PS. I personally WOULD like to see the "Rebel" flag appear somewhere. Maybe a battered specimen painted on the tractor.

I decided to eliminate the "Eastern" from the SPGA just because we may get members from Texas, Arkansas, etc. and it therefore wouldn't be applicable.
Several other people have also mentioned the rebel flag but a logo that in any way could be construed as racial or discriminatory, whether intentional or not, is NOT conducive to promotion of the hobby. It is just not appropriate, no matter how much we may all love the symbolism as Southeners.
The rebel flag will not be included in the SPGA logo.
