In the shade - PDX, OR

Guys, I need some help with building a pumpkin lifter.

Are there any existing plans out there on how to do this?
I'm thinking about the tripod style.

Questions would be:
How long are the timbers?
How are they connected together at the top?
How many puleys do you need?
Chain or rope?

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Pictures too.
Thanks,
CEIS

I've been thinking about one too. Plans with measurements on them would help.

Randoooo had a pretty nifty setup at the Nekoosa weighoff. Don't remember all those specifics about it though.

PGPGA sells pumpkin lifters still. If you go to PGPGA.com there is some pics, take a look. Any questions, email Marv Hicks.

Ceis, we'll be raffling one off at our Spring meeting on March 20th in Clackamas. WE'll have the tripod, a digital inline scale and also a lifting harness (all top quality!) If you are interested, contact me at [email protected].

14' timbers lashed together with chain at the top. A 1 ton chain hoist works fine.
That's what I use and I copied it from Al Eaton.

A two buck scaffold makes a great lifting station.
