I am in Northern NJ and have a big max plant that covers only about 30 square feet (the reason being that my main vine snapped about 2 feet down because at time i had no clue what i was doing). Most of the length is in secondary vines and i am pruning all terciaries. I have 2 pumpkins set, the size of a softball and of an old dollar coin (12 lobes and 9 lobes) I have been feeding with 18-19-30 fertilizer and growth seems to be slow. How big of a pumpkin can i expect for my doorstep this halloween?
P.S. I am a first time grower!

I am growing Big Max as well, I don't know much about the different fertizilers and won't pretend that I do. I was using a 15-30-15 until I ran out today, I guess it was helping the pumpkins, but it was also growing the vines alot. One of my big maxs is at 80 OTT, 31 Cir. in 15 days since pollination, I want it to grow more, but I think where it's at would be an okay size for the doorstep.

Just remember that the Circ and OTT estimating methods were developed for AG's only. Which are thicker than Big Max- so you're Big MAx pumpkin will weight less than estimated.
