If a new one wasn't set this year it was Ed Gancarz in 1990 with his 816.5. Looks like it needs to be broken, Alex.

Well, I fully expect to beat that in the next two years no problem, it may not be this year, but next year for SURE! :D 816.5 OK my goal is 816.6 :~)

Oh Memy, try to plan on about 1,000 I got some tricks up my sleeve lol
Memy, what weigh off do you go to? There is one in south jersey, about 10 miles from me, http://www.sjpumpkinshow.com, but it is a small weigh off largest being only like 500 pounds

I put that email address after I was emailed a virus,
which came from "[email protected]", the email was not really from here, they faked it, but my server simply nuked the message.. ;) So no harm done, just don't wish to put my email out there anymore...

I haven't ever been to a weighoff... This year might be a first, and if I go I'd probably go to that one in sj...

Last year was my first time trying out AG's... I got seeds in a packet from the mailorder, nothing special just atlantic giants... The seeds are quite small in comparison to what I have this year (some selections from seedoutlet.com and from bp.com ;) )

I made my a raised bed in an area that gets pretty wet...
Since we've had so many drought years I figured it would be cool, last year as you know was a bit more rain than usual... I ended up with some problems from the constant wet.. The stems of the pumpkins rotted, I kept them alive with fans blowing out there to dry them up..
Results:
130lb pumpkin, a 75lb pumpkin, 60lb pumpkin and one I never got around to weighing...

So this year with more genetic ammunition, fresh patch ammendments, and a more restrained rain dance than last year, I give it another go... :)

What will you guys/girls be planting?
I got my hands on a 1074 Beauchemin and a 1000 Pugh that seem promising, among a variety of shapes colors and sizes that I selected... including green. :)

It's due time for the 14 year record to come down... we've been slacking for too long. :)

Darn right it is, Unfortunately, I will be taking the record home with me :D

Just getting caught up in the competitive part :) I have some great genetic lines coming to me, and I will have a lot to choose from :) Me and my aunt are growing them to see what we get, between the two of us, we should get at least a 600 pounder :) Maybe more? Only time will tell... This IS only my first year growing them :) But I do have a great mentor :D
