Our patch is about 450ft long we planted one row of AG's the full length of the patch I have some pretty good ones in the making I think the biggest is about 2-3 weeks and looks like it would go about 40lb so far I didn't plant them as early as I should have but I guess we'll see what happens I've learned a lot this year about growing the (Big Ones) so I hope to do even better next year

The crops in Wisconsin are not looking very good. Mine and others. The leaves are turning yellowish, some are brown and dying off. Also, looks like I've got powdery mildew. :( I guess I really need to do my research to try and prevent these problems. Does anybody know what all can be done? I'm not growing AG's, I'm growing Howdens. This is my 3rd year and each year it seems like my crops are getting worse each year.

Are you planting them in the same place every year? From what I've learned you should't plant pumpkins in the same place more than two years in a row and I've been told it's best if you have the room, to rotate your patch every year I've asked around to see if there is any thing you can do such as cover crops or something like that, that I could do so I could use the same patch year after year but haven't gotten any answers on that yet
