Anybody order any seeds from Howard Dill recently? I ordered mine about three weeks ago, and just recently found all the messages on this board about seeds not making it across the border from Canada. Just wondering if anyone knew how long it generally took for them to get seeds out to someone, and hoping all that money wasn't for nothing. My first experience with AG's, hoping its a good one.

UMaine, You've got a lot of "neighbors" with good seeds just for the asking if the Dill's package doesn't come thru.
Welcome to Giant pumpkin growing.Drop me an email anytime and I'll set you up.

Howard has the necessary paperwork to send seeds to the states, as far as reading the posts went.

Just a friendly reminder that the Atlantic Giant Pumpkin is the property of the Dill family. The last I heard, the Dills had the proper paper-work to get their seeds through U.S. customs. Just give it some time and I'm sure your seeds will get through. This is the Dill's way of making a living and we should give them the opportunity to do so. We all owe Howard a lot. Let's give the man some respect. Dill seeds are a great way of getting into this hobby/sport/obsession/sickness? :0)

Yeah, i just got far back enough in the posts to see where they said that they have the necessary forms to get them here. I guess i'm just over-anxious to get my hands dirty. Any advice on fertilizing/watering? I'm considering getting a dripworks watering system and putting it on a timer with a fertilizer injector. I think i'll order some neptune's harvest fish/seaweed too. I dunno, i just wanna cover all my bases so i do decently this year and don't get discouraged. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

UMaine, if you still need seeds email me [email protected] The Dill seeds normally get mailed in March from past expierence. They are busy all summer growing pumpkins & the like and all winter have hundreds if not thousands of seed orders from around the world to take care of. They might be plowing snow also, heard their area just got a big snowstorm.

I ordered around Christmas time and recieved the seeds this last week complete with the certification papers to get thru customs. Read some where that Dill enterprises recieves between 6000 and 7000 seed orders. That could explain the many weeks to delivery.

last year, the time it took between ordering and receiving was somewhere between two and three months. They got to me on time, though, and I had the most fun growing a pumpkin I ever had. :-D Don't worry, your seeds will get to you!
