Once I clean ou the pumpkins in Oct., what do I need to do with the seeds to save them, and to cook some of them? I know my son want to eat some of them. Not sure if I want to bother saving any of these yet, except maybe Lemon Drop my Big Max that is at 77" OTT (30" circumference) in 13 days.

To save my seeds for planting I spread the seeds out on a big cookie sheet, cover them up with a paper towell or something like that and put them somewhere out of the way and let them dry for a week or two once they are dried out I put them in a zip-lock freezer bag and store them in the freezer this has worked really good for me and to cook them try melting some butter then pour over the seeds mix them up spread them out on a cookie sheet put them in the oven at about 300 to 400 until they turn golden brown then put them in a bowl salt them or what ever seasoning you like mix up thay are preety good this way

Be sure your seeds are completely dry before you freeze them, or they may be ruined! They should be dried a good 2-3 weeks, in a warm place, like on top of your refrigerator. Some also use fans to hasten the process. I store mine in mason jars and use uncooked rice or silica gel to keep moisture out. Store in a cool, dry place.
