Hang in there with the rain. I was right with you last summer in my patch. we had a total of 60 inches in May, June, July, August, and September. Thats an average of 12 inches a month! These plants can handle a lot of abuse. You gotta keep the fruit elevated, and the stems and fruit dry. Try a bleach solution on the stems and then a dry powder to absorb moisture such as Captan or regular garden sulfur. Dry fruit is the key!

All the pumpkins are on polystyren and covered they have been throwing captan around like it is snowing it helps but a fewdays of dry weather would be really good. Some of the rivers around here are running at between 7-8 meters higher than normal. But i still get the odd tourrist stop and knock on the door asking if they can take a photo with the pumpkins and sunflowers so that makes it all good I suppose

7-8 METERS higher than normal?!?!? Yikes! How about life preservers for those babies. Hang in there Darky!
