Can bleach be used as a fungicide?

There are better fungicide solutions. Bleach is used as a disenfectant at 2-4 TBS per gallon.

Great for sterilizing tools, benches, & pots. I wouldn't spray it on plants though.

Zero-tol is a agent used for sterlization and also as a funcicide. Besides that zero-tol is 50 times more expensive than bleach, what is the difference between them?

I don't know about "Zero-tol" there bears, but I would certianly dilute "bleach" to a friendly level before trying to kill all those pesky fungi lest you remove all the bacterial dominance! Ammonia is actualy a natural all ourpose fertilizer and works best when brewed with sweetener's. Oh ya, I saw our first flock of Robins in the yard today! We still have about 5 inches of snow but it's melting. The Robins must have flown in with the "Pine Apple Express"!

zero-tol is basically very concentrated hydrogen peroxide. i've heard of bleach used on the fruit before (diluted, of course), but i won't try it.

Zero-tol also contains peracetic acic which gets formed when hydrogen peroxide is mixed with acetic acid (vinegar).
It must cost them virtually nothing to make the stuff.

I started spraying my plants with H2O2 as a fungicide at the end of last year and am planning to do so all the way through this year.

Bears,I should warn you that I mix it with Milk and am probably considered to be a crackpot for doing this.

Just a heads up when using bleach make sure to dilute correctly i used a too strong [duh] of a concentration and caused small pitts all over the surface of my pumpkins last year will still use it in the future but will be sure to measure it out accurately Langevin III i believe suggests 10 to 1 ratio pete

Yes 10 to one ratio is what I have always used too. Keep in mind, although it is great for killing any harmful spores on contact, it has no lasting effects. I just learned the "lasting effects" part at our recent southeastern meeting. BF

BE CAREFUL AS YOU CAN BE WITH ZERO-TOL!!!!!!
I HAD THE UNFORTUNATE EXPERIENCE OF GETTING IT ON MY FINGERS WHEN THE POORLY-DESIGNED CONTAINER UNBEKNOWNST TO ME HAS A VENT IN THE CAP AND IT WAS LEAKING....I HAVE NO MOISTURE IN MY FINGERTIPS ANYMORE, THEY ARE LIKE SANDPAPER ANYMORE AND I HAVE LIVED TO REGRET EVER COMING INTO CONTACT WITH THE STUFF. THAT WAS 6 MONTHS AGO. STILL HAVE THIS PROBLEM. i don't mean the product is unsafe, but it MUST be dealt with with the utmost care in mind! READ all of the precautions and heed them as if your life depends on it.

as far as if it works on PM or whatever, that i can attest to also---seems to have lessened the PM on my 845 plant '03.
maybe eliminated it, i forget....but i destroyed a lot of the foliage trying to apply the Zero-Tol with an under-the-leaf applicator that needs a LOT of fine-tuning...lol! JUST BE CAREFUL WITH ZERO-TOL!
and, the jug i think is a 2.5-gallon, glug, glug, glug when you pour from it, splash, splash!----and yer SUPPOSED to avoid splashing it in yer eyes.....huh!......be careful, that's all i ask. 'pal2
