I am in the process of a trade with a person from Germany and there are some OK seeds involved. I am going to send him a SASBP. He will then send the bubble pack with his half of the trade back to me. Is there a chance it will get caught by customs? Thanks, Alex.

Yes there is a very good chance. The seeds going into the US from anywhere need a Pyto Certificate. Even if the chances are 50%, are the seeds worth it. I sent seeds on Tuesday with a pyto. Time will tell how they clear customs from Canada to the U.S.

I had some cabbage seeds intercepted a couple of weeks ago. They were sent in an unmarked envelope. They rattled a lot. Non standard looking mail is getting checked because of the terrorism threat.

I work for the US Army in Germany. I use the US Postal service from over here. I do not use the German Postal service, so when I receive seeds it is very similar to someone shipping from one state to another. I have never had a problem. As a matter of fact, I received seeds last week from a grower in Washington. Should someone want to use me as a go between for Germany, I would not mind. You ship to me via the US Postal and I pass on to them via the German Postal....owen (I'll take my cut of the best seeds sent...ROFL)

US to Germany is OK Germany to US is not so OK Last year trade, Germany to US= crushed seed in a bubble This year, Germany to US= no seed seen yet after 7-8 weeks
DO NOT PUT A CUSTOMS TICKET ON THE PACKAGE COMING TO USA. DO NOT USE A STANDARD BUBBLE, they get crushed easily.

Kyle, that is only going to or from a German address, my APO does not have that problem.
