WAIT TIL NEXT YEAR

So. Maine

How about we gather our thoughts and try to predict what the heavist official and unofficial pumpkin and squash weights will turn out to be in 2004. By unofficial I mean as long as its whole and is weighed on a certified scale and have witnesses as Bruce Whittier did with his 1458. First number is the official weight guess & the second is the unofficial. A couple of us growers can put the list in our favorites and pull it up after the end of the all the weigh-ins. Here's my guess...Pumpkin 1422 & 1525 Squash 1110 & 1211

The weather will suck and growers will make bad genetic choices, and the numbers will be lower than last year (oh, come on, somebody's got to be a pessimist! LOL)

Brett,
Hester seeds gonna set 2 world records? :-) LOL

Then I'm gonna say 1513 off my 1097.5, and 1154 off my 503 for Sherwood. No unofficial guesses.....only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades.

Squash wil go 1099.5 off a Hester 895.5 and be grown in Pennsylvania by a newcomer to the sport/hobby.

Pumpkin will be 1439 and grown by Al Eaton off a Knauss 898 seed.

Largest Squmpkin will be 1132 and be grown in Torrance CA! (Then who wins that contest out west boys?)
