I received the following email today... I made a trade... US grower to US grower. I sent off the bubble pack but it never arrived. I did get a bubble pack from the other grower... i can understand ones frustration in not getting a seed ...
but I'm a ticked off that i've been called "fishy" ...
i emailed this person several times asking if the bubble pack had arrived... the last time was approx Jan 20th. I sent the bubble pack in the beginning of Dec. I offered to send his seed(s) back... but he said no... but now i will... how often should one continue to reply ? how long does one need to show concern before moving on ? what does one do to avoid receiving a "thanks for nothing"...
So what am i to do ?
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>> Subject: Thanks for nothing Gordon, Seems you really dont care as to whether or not the seed ever comes..You havent had the consideration to write in over 1.5 months to check..Fishy,fishy..Thanks..

My take on this is Gordon did not mention any names... he was just asking for advise which should be appropriate.
Now Jeff has responded it is a little harder to give advise and it probably should be taken 'off-line'.
If I were in Gordons shoes I would take offense to being called 'fishy'. But at the same time, it appears Jeff has not received Gordons emails. So... how can there be resolution.
What seed was it that got lost in the mail? Maybe I have one and could send a replacement.
Otherwise... I'd say it is now time to move on.

The name of the game is TRUST....If we lose that where are we at?? Trust and the Gordon Tanner name go hand in hand. If he said he sent them...Bet the farm and your first born.....He sent them...If you did not get them.....Look to blame someone else. Is it really a shock to think the P O might have lost them... I think not.
After all what makes ANY OF US think that seed in the little package we have recieved in the mail and rested all our hopes and dreams on in the coming year IS truely what that Identifcation sticker says it is...SIMPLE!!! TRUST!!! Let's not lose that fellas!!
Back when I participated in the secret santa in 2001. My seeds I sent were never recieved...I included a couple real dandies also like a 815 Checkon just to mention one. Later found out a family problem was in the midst and my seeds were sent to his soon to be exwifes address....Guess what happen to those seeds!!! LOL!! ANyways Scwabble if you must BUT from what I know about Gordo.....He sent them!!! Fishy?? Heck he can't even catch a fish!!! LOL!! :o)

This has almost nothing to do with anything. But with all the unwanted Viagra spam running around I have set filters on incoming mail that blocks certain words. Our corporate firewall also kills certain emails depending on the subject. I know for a fact I don't get all the mail that people send. But I check & return emails so fast that folks who don't get an immediate response usually know I didn't get it & resend.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that sometimes just choosing the subject words wisely insures better delivery.
Plus you could always request a delivery confirmation from your "tools" menu. Then there's no question at all that someone got your email. There are still lots of folks who only check "occasionally".
Hope this helps.
