Burrhead, I, too, have started a grass-roots effort to infect everyone in my area with pumpkin fever and it is going gang-busters!! For two years I have provided donated seeds and an info flier (I'll email it to you) that covers growing tips, websites, books, and videos - anything a new grower would need to wet their appetite for Atlantic Giants. I will advise you that rarely do first year growers give a hoot about the genetics (there are exceptions of course) so you shouldn't either. It is much easier to provide them with donated seeds that will amaze them regardless of their gardening experience, and they can seek more and better genetics as they become more interested. That's my 2 cents of experience talking, from Montana. I will say that there is no greater pleasure than hearing from the growers you are mentoring as they convey the wonder of giant pumpkins growing in their own back yards! It is very contageous - I warn you that you may be creating your own monster in WV as I have here. And I couldn't be more proud!! Good luck to you - there are many, many generous growers all over the world that jump in to help, just for the asking! Keep us posted! Kim

It is indeed pleasing to see another one of us stepping up to the plate while motivating and helping others. Burrhead you are head and shoulders above most of us. Best of luck.
As to the seed I sent you. One of them is destined to be a world record next year. Only one, you find it. :)

Glenn......Oh no! These are all the culls and left overs. I just slipped in one really good one. Each early pack out had two absolute winners in them. I personally handled your seed. This batch was just dumpped out of a wine bottle. If the sober up they may germinate. Save that one I spiked the bag with to tease Burrhead. I laid yours in view of and right beside the 1385 Daletas picture for twenty four hours three and one half minutes. Those seed know precisely what they have to do. This is a relative new technique. It is called environmental long term image association. I gleaned the technique for the successs books that advise readers to post their dreams on the refrigerator door where they will be seen every day. I filed for legal protection of the technique. In future years only my seed will be packed in a coin envelop that has a picture of the present world record. No one else may use this technique. :)
