hi everyone, we seem to be moving right along in growth. have noticed 4 new females in the last few days. one on each of three primary vines, and one on the main vine..
2 questions: the three females on the primary vines are only 6 1/2ft out from the main vine.is this a good length for pollination? and the one on the main vine is over 10 ft.
#2: how far out on each vine after the first female appears do you see another female?

the pumpkin poitioning is normal as far frequency that depends on the plant. two years ago i had a plant set fruit oneither side of the main vine 1 ft. appart.

Your female pumpkins are appearing at about the same frequency as mind.

thanks for the replies. is it a good thing to pollinate 6 ft out on the primary vines, or wait for other females? we have read that about 10 ft is a good lenght to pollinate.
