hi everyone, one little note. i know i've been singing the praises of using plastic coat hangers for vine trainng. there was one thing i forgot to mention when using them. after the vine has grown a good distance past your hanger, you can remove it and move it to a different spot on the vine where it needs it. you only need the hanger temporarily to stabilize things. once the tap roots anchor you down, you're good to go. the reason you should remove them is because the vine, especially near the stump will get quite thick, and eventually hit against the hanger. it sort of looks like someone whose fingers are to big for a ring, and it leaves an indentation. just figured i'd pass that info on. scott
