The 644 was deep orange and very thick, second season cross out on the mothers side from the 810 Dill. It's offspring have all been nice and orange with the same thick shells....

Gads...I have a 644.....so the cross of the 644 was 810Dill x ? Has it been grown and does it make nice orange?.....G

644 was grown from our #410 2000 810 Dill X Waterman Zehr/Geer one ton cross fruit. The 410 was crossed with the 1026 Holland to produce the 644. I know of 8 fruit grown from it and they all were nice orange heavy fruit with long stems and dark green vines. I like the 410 seeds better though I have grown 6 of them and the fruit are much thicker with a rounder shape than the 644. I have some 410 seeds left if your interested.
