oops I meant - should I save them?

It depends, how big is the pumpkin? There's nothing really wrong with open pollinated seeds, just that you don't know for certain who the father is. If the pumpkin grows to a decent size, everyone will want the seeds regardless of who the parents are. --Bruiser

How about both.
save a couple of dozen and eat the rest.

Depending on what you sprayed the plant with you may not want to eat them.

HI Got2garden:
You might want to pass on eating them the husk of the seeds on A-Gs are so thick(sometimes)it might be something like chewing on tree bark.

I was growing a bonsai maple tree a couple years ago and it had no leaves because it was recovering from a bad sun scorch. My mom saw it and thought it was dead, so she threw it away, then when I saw no tree I threw a fit

my brother is autistic so he brecks my stuff a lot, but one time he got what he was asking for, he broke my 968 stellpflug in half this spring, this was a very thick strong seed, so he had to have been putting a lot of strenght into it. I saw what he did and, well, let's just say he hasn't made an assualt on my seeds since the second he hit the ground screaming in fear.

You should save the seeds if you are not growing other pumpkins that could cross with it like, big max, prize winner or some types of gourds. If one of your neighbors is growing one of these plants the bee that pollinated your plant may have visited thier plant first and regardless of how big yours is the seeds will not produce large fruit.
Seeds carry the genetic makeup of both the female and male cross.
Then again a prize winner-AG cross might still get to be good size with nice shape and color just not a contest winner for weight.

just to let you know, I didn't hit him, he saw the look on my face and fell down screaming like I was going to kill him. He stabed an early harvested big max with a dart today, that was not very nice.

My 9 year old son, just got a bow and arrow set today from his aunt, I told him that he better stay out of the garden with it, or there will be no Halloween for him this year. I am going to pick up a hay bale today and we will make some targets for him to shoot at.
