there are a lot of tomatos around sacramento, I went there 2 years ago and when the plane landed the flight atendent said, "We are now arriving in sacratomato." It was really hot to, I was walking on a parking lot and my shoes were sticking to the melting pavement. The town was nice though. Toodles, Tom

Suzy, If your going to be there with your 400+ pumpkin then it's not worth driving to Sacramento for us. Good luck, and watch out for those North Coast growers.

I'm not going to take the biggest one anyway the white flies invaded yesterday . I hope my plants survive. Tom it does get hot in Sacratomatoe but we do have the Delta Breeze from the coast.

You don't need to worry about this north coast grower. This year was an experiment to see how well I could do on the foggy coast and the results were good. Next year I will be entering my pumpkins even if they are small so I can meet some of you guys and gals in person. I will be at Half Moon Bay this year as a spectator to check it out.

I've also been to Eureka, it's very nice. I found two decapatated whales walking along a beah near there, that was ugly.

I'm heading to Eureka later this year... I'd like to see "two decapatated whales walking" [didn't know whales could walk- let alone headless ones ! :) ]

I received about 10 email jokes today but I didn't laugh near as much about them as I have about the "beer" and "walking whales."
