During the holidays the server the wcpga.com website resides on was hacked. Hosting service is trying to be restored but it appears all files are lost or corrupted.

Wcpga does have back-ups and once the server is up and running we will try to restore the site however all message board files, member logins, etc. may be non-repairable and will take some time to restore.

Our Seed Raffle is still starting today we hope to have the seed list of all 605 seeds to be raffled back up shortly.

Yes 605 seeds the 581 seeds was added to to include some late seed arrivals.

Thanks

Who would do an awful thing like that to a pumpkin site?

The wcpga.com website is stored on a shared server, the server was attacked not the wcpga.com site.

Think of it as one program on your hard drive, the program with all it's individual files wasn't hacked but the hard drive as a whole, so every thing was lost or destroyed including other people's websites that were on that hosted server.

It does frost my butt as the WCPGA starts it's seed raffle to bring in funds to support our association and I have yet to know when we can get the list back up, plus it will take countless hours to restore our site. maybe even weeks.

I hope the person responsible will be brought to justice.

I'm sorry to hear this Earnie. I hope things get straightened out for you guys soon. There should be criminal penalties for hackers. With actual enforcement.

Best wishes.
