Many of you tried this? How were things set up with lighting, etc, etc? Has anyone been able to obtain any fruit with basement growing? Wanna hear any type of success stories!...Kyle

how would you get a large one out? 2 police often fly over houses looking for weed with inferred that detects large plantations in houses (gives off a very specific heat signature) so you might get busted for illegal pumpkin growing lol.

The cuttings in our greenhouse keep trying to produce females. Especially the 801 Stelts. But I clip them off long before they open. Maybe for fun I should try pollinating one!

I had one in my office that was over 30 feet long! It lasted from Februry 2002 till mid August of this year. I started a seed as a joke on the back of my computer then transplanted it into recycling bins filled with potting soil. The main stump was in one bin then I trained the vine over into another and buried it to get some tap roots going. Everything was clipped off as far as secondaries went and I did get a few females to pop. As males opened I put them in the lunch fridge with the hope of pollinating a female, unfortunatley none ever took. Got one up to the size of a tennis ball then it fell off. (: It was one hell of a conversation piece when people went into my break room. Light was not a problem at all. Two of the four walls are glass and acted as a minnie green house. I will see if I still have some pictures somewhere and will post them.

yeah, show us--that would be neat! i'm thinkin' of all the crosses that anyone could make over the winter, and plant in the spring, thereby on a small scale doubling the speed of cross-creating!
