Lets have some input on unproven seeds to try I like the 654 Houghton of 2003 and the 840 Hester of 2002 what do you others like?

Definitely the 635.0 Vanderschoot 2002 (846 Calai x 946.5 Geerts) 28.88% heavy.

822 and 977 Hester's.
Both were heavy OTC and each has a pollinator that threw a 1104#, way-heavy OTC pumpkin (@ 21%)

1051 Checkon...has a pollinator that threw a 1200+

988 Reinsborough...21% OTC and pollinated with an 842 Eaton

543/ 603/608 Brock...way-heavy OTC, pollinators throw heavy OTC

630 Jutras...695 Handy mom, pollinator threw a 20% heavy OTC that weighed 1100+

654 Emmons...heavy OTC all-around

715 Wilson...heavy OTC all-around

721.8 Companion...heavy OTC, pollinator threw big and heavy, COLOR

the 894 UOW Checkon is the exact reverse of the 986 Checkon, which grew an 1162 on its first try...

but I'm hoping I'll be able to prove that my own seeds are worth growing, frig maybe I should plant something else too...hmmm

724 Carlson 2002 (846 calai, selfed). Not grown by many last year, but grew personal bests for the few who tried it, even with not much plant management according to Dan with a grower who put out an 840lber. Same cross as 735 pukos, I think will be just as good. I'm growing it this year coming up:) Jim

as far as i know, the only one of these that has been tried was the 315.

I like the 760.0 Pappas 2003 (582.0 Hester 2001 x 898.0 Knauss 2001). It has possible size and density.

I like Dan Carlson, Brett Hester, ...... seeds. There are just too many to name. There are some really good seeds out there that grew heavy. Some seeds from last year weren't even grown or proven yet. Since there are more people growing there are more seeds available if people look at the amount of pumpkins or squash that went heavy. I think I'll try to get some SASE out to some of those first or second year growers.

Of over 100 plants I've got going at my test patch there are a few that are very strong, should be able to throw a big one with proper care:

502 Palbrach 03 est - 783 Daletas x 846 Calai
575 Simmons 02 - 845 Bobier x 1230 Daletas
603 Needham 02 - 1230 Daletas x 1064.5 Needham

Many more that are doing very well too. All have good genetics. Will be able to see if any have promise over the next few months.
