Merry Christmas, A few years ago their was a link on one of the pumpkin sites about a pumpkin farmer that would contract with a company to scratch their logo on a pumpkin when it was small. Then in the fall he would have them one that weighed several hundred pounds with their logo. It was really neat. I hope to try it next season. I hope some of you remember it and can tell me how to find it.
thanks, doug

It's just as simple as scrathing in a design. We did it in 2002 to a few fruit. They will scar old or young as far as i could tell. You might get better scaring using younger fruit. Definately not reccomended for your number 1 fruit though.

You can do it on any pumpkin with a nail or stick.
