Dont mind my ignorance but what is OTT mean? And how do you estimate how much your pumpkin weighs?

OTT stands for "Over The Top". it is a method of estimating weght that is widely used by pretty much everyone who grow's AG's. Three measurements are taken with a tape measure. one is sideways over the pumpkin, the other is longways over the pumpkin, and the third is circumference parrallel to the ground from blossom to stem. The three measurements are then added together, and the total is compared to an OTT chart. this wont work on pumpkins other then AG's and maybe big max, or prizewinner. I"m sure there's other info on OTT on this site if you use the "search" option.
