I took some seeds out of a pumpkin that stopped growing. I put them on a tray to dry but they seem to have a very disgusting smell to them. Also they were set out to dry but they seem to be still a little dry. Could anyone help me with this. Thanks ~Ryan~

Sounds like they may have been rotting inside the pumpkin.

If the pumpkin is not fully ripe, it will very quickly rot and smell terrible. I'm not sure if your seeds will germinate or not, how old was the fruit?

The pumpkin was a smaller one but it was completely orange. So I thought I could pick it but I guess I shouldn't have
