If anyone is interested I created a spreadsheet today to track the progress of my pumpkins, email me and I will send it to you.
The left side lists my pumpkins and going across the top are the dates, in the corresponding cells, I listed what happened or the measurement for that date. For example the lefft side would read Number 2 CF*1 (meaning Pumpkin #2 Conn. Field, plant number 1), under 7/28 is PH/BM (meaning Pollinated by Hand with Big Max).
It is by no means scientific by it lets me see the growth pattern over a few days or a period of time....Karen

I changed the axis of the spreadsheet, the dates now run down the left side and the pumpkins across the top.

Karen, i hope i don't steal your thunder. and i don't want to offend anyone. but there are a few spread sheets out and about. and I happen to have worked on one. I got one about 3 years ago from George Brooks- it had a lot of nice stuff. I added some of my own. Basically it keeps track of you pumpkins estimated weight, and weight gain. It uses the OTT method. there are two charts that plot the total weight and the daily weight gain. it has a place where you can keep track of the daily temperatures and rain also, plus there is a comment section where you can put what ever you want. i made another weekly version- for those that only measure once a week. still another version is in english and SI units- but you still have to measure in the OTT in inches. one page is an example of my 520 lb-er that i grew last year.
if anyone want one just email me at [email protected] tell me if you want daily or weekly. and don't be surprized if it takes me a day or two to get it to you.

No problem, I didn't insert any formulas in to this one (as far as Microsoft applications go, PowerPoint is my area of expertise). There were plenty of spreadsheets out there to get the estimated weight from already. I mainly created mine to stop using pencil and paper to write down the measurements. I keep all of my notes for watering and fertilizing in the grower's diary. I just like being able to quickly look at the dates and progress (if any with the heat), without having to flip pages in a notebook....Karen
