it is awfully wet in my patch,,,7-10 inches of rain since yesterday and the drainage is not great as there is clay underneath,,,,I'm afraid its going to be too wet,,,hope pumpkins tolerate lots of water,,,cause the forecast is for more rain this week,,regular thunder storm routine,,,love'm when you need em,,,hate them in a time like this,,,,,help somebody,,,,,,,,

I'm worried bout the stalks rotting that are covered,,fungiside would only keep the fungus off,,am I right?? Will the stalks rot,,I mean the runners and main stalk,,as I have alot covered with dirt??

Also if you cover the vines and a Squash vine borer gets in the stem through a leaf... its darn hard to know if you have one down there slowly eating away at your vines!

thought I had a borer,,but the brown stuff in leaf was only where the hole was found,,not any further up stalk of leaf,,,,hmmmm,,,,hey c.c.,,,father in law lives in Mills,Neb,, ya know where that is??
