Well it looks like I'm an official pumpkin grower.

1.Had first pumpkin dream last night that” Natalie" rotted on the bottom.
2.I thought I saw a vine borer and apparently they aren't even found in these parts.
3.I'm talking about moving farther inland to a better growing climate.
4. Already have next years garden planned.
5. My wife is tired of me making her come outside to look at the plants.

Your wife wishes you would work in the yard and my husband wishes I would clean the house. Being in the garden is a lot more fun. Farmer at heart.

I'm there with ya'll. I am in the garden more than I am ever cleaning house. I was late to work one day last week, had to come up with a good excuse, other than was checking on my pumpkins to see if any were ready for pollination. I used to dream about work, now I dream about pumpkins, and I actually started dreaming about both the other night. I am do performance assessment of employees and training for one of the major phone giants. In my dream I was scoring my pumpkins performance, and giving a class on pollinating pumpkins....Karen

I keep on having dreams about vine borers eating out the insides of my plant and then I go out in the yard to check on it, it is all rotted away.

I had a dream that a bunch of teenagers (unfortunatly I live near a public high school) were beating my pumpkins so I chased them away with an axe and sat outside between three pumpkins and never went inside. as the pumpkins grew they surounded me and eventualy grew together. I became traped inside the pumpkin as the police looked for me I told them where I was but my words were muffled by the thick walls of the pumpkin. On halloween my mom cut the pumpkin (3 pumpkins) open and I jumped out and scared everyone half to death.

I cant believe how obsessed I am with growing these wonderful things. My husband thinks I spend way to much time out in the garden talking to my pumpkin plants. I dont this is strange. What about everyone else? Does anyone else talk to their plants??????

Talk to them!!! every minute I'm out there. the dog's bark in the middle of the night and I go out and turn on all of the flood lights and check it out.
My wife used to think I was a little weird, now that she took over measureing it she has gotten verry possesive,I threaten to cut it off of the vine and she threaten's to cut me off!!!!
NOW that's scary!!! <;-)

My girlfriend thinks I'am nuts people come to visit and I treat them like a tour at the zoo. I resently started my own business and I spend more time with the pumpkins then trying to gather up work. Hopfully they will get big enough to live in. Ken
