wondering whether anyone has had any success growing any reasonable size AG's on a freight train ? (single main vine, no secondaries) hate to croak early season back-up plants so i usually plant one on either side of my small patch and trim off all secondary growth hoping something will develop at least for jack-o-lantern purposes. haven't produced any- thing worth keeping in 3 years...that may be the end of the story...unlesss anyone weighs in with better reults ? thanks.

I've gotten 100-200 lbers on those single mains....but doesn't seem to handle more than two no matter how long it gets............G

g, i can corroborate your findings. plant only seems to be able to support 2-3 fruit, everything else aborts. won't waste valuable patch space anymore, just have to find homes for extra early season plants i guess.
