Ok I finally got the measurements right. I did it wrong the first time.
The measurements are:
70 circumference 46 blossum to Stem 40 side to side
OTT = 156 OTT weight= 90 pounds
So 90lbs after 15 days

Dang CC.......My biggest was measured at 151 ott yesterday, and it's twice as old. It looks like it's gonna explode any minute, and is still gaining a couple inches a day. It's totally wild to actually see one of these monsters grow. That's the nice thing about this web site.....to be able to hear about how other growers are doing. Sure doesn't seem like that skin can possibly stretch anymore without breaking, eh?

C.C.- you are starting to get me worried now about exploding pumpkins. Mine measured Circ-76, side-to-side- 53, stem-to-stem-56 for a total OTT of 185 inches, making a weight of 138 pounds. It had grown 7 pounds since yesterday morning to last night.

C.C., I have to keep watching the local news, to see if I hear anything about huge pumpkin rolls down the street. LOL. I would love to see Crazy sometime. I hope your neighbors are more understanding than mind. I am now officially the crazy lady in the neighborhood, took that away from my neighbor.... Karen

C.C.,
No orange areas at all yet. What does it mean if I see any? Hercules is just a nice medium orange color.

polka dot,
Hercules was yellow at one time right? And you say it is now a medium Orange. When did it change from yellow to medium orange or was it always medium orange? I think if it turns orange it is ripening somewhat... I dont know though as I am not an expert.

Yeah I have had Hercules covered from the time I new he was starting to grow. I try to keep any sun off of him. I leave the sides open some so the air can continue to circulate.

Karen,
I have only 361 sq feet in which crazy is growing and my neighbor has a nice lawn.... so I have to clip a bit and train the vines to keep it out of their yard.
