I havent posted in a while and don't recognize some of the new namesbut I can give the results of my own personal experiment. I got seeds from the fine folks on this site and prepared my soil to their specks and I have some very nice pumpkins , I gave seeds to everyone around here who wanted them ,but no gtowing tips and their results were dead plants and small pumkins so far . I know this won't surprise you hard core growers but I thought I'd let you know. Jeff

Thanks for the info. I am certain that if it wasn't for this site, I would have no pumpkins right now. When I was a little girl I planted pumpkin seeds, did absolutely nothing all spring or summer, and had approx. 30-40 pumpkins by Halloween (I know we have a pumpkin carving contest with the Y youth group at our house, adn Mom gave one pumpkin to each class at the small elementary school in town.
I am on this site every day since I found it (even during my lunch break at work, if I didn't come home to mist because of the heat), learning something new, and still scared that something will happen to my pumpkins before they are mature....Karen
