I was given a giant pumkin plant in June. It is now August 1st and the plant is no longer than 1.5 foot. The flowers are the size of a quarter. The leaves smaller than my palm. I have posted a picture in the photo gallery. If you can identify this plant, I would be very appreciative. It certainly doesn't look like anything on this site. Please help!

Looked at your picture and must agree that no giants will develop on that plant. It looks almost like my cantaloupe. Was this plant severely root-bound in a pot before it was planted? That could have stunted it.

It sure doesn't look like an Atlantic Giant.

Yikes. I think the best response is the Atlantic Dwarf. I don't believe it had any root damage. It was only in a pot for a short period of time. I also, don't believe it is a giant pumpkin at all. A cantaloupe it may be. We will have to wait for fruit to develop to see.
What a disappointment. Oh well, there is always next year.
Thank you all for your help.

I don't know, but to me it looks like a cucumber plant.

The votes are in. Only time will tell at this point. I will reveal when the time comes.

You definitely have a cantaloupe plant.
