My personal best from a Big Max is 70 lbs. which I have heard is common for this variety. I've never tried Mammoth. --Bruiser

I have 2 Big Max plants growing right now, and pumpkins set, and growing that were pollinated with males from my 896 Wells plant. I heard they were compatible,(sp).....so i had to give it a try, and find out what the seeds from them produce next year. I'll keep you posted. Cuzbiker

I tried that also, but my ag x bigmax pumpkins died after sucking all of the energy from the vine they were on. I hope your attempt is better than mine Tom

I pollinated a Conn. Field with a Big Max, on July 28th and it averages 2-3 inches a day, right now it is at 18". I hope it doesn't blow. It is lighter than my other Conn. Field, right now it looks as if it will be a short, fat pumpkin....Karen
