I new nothing about pumpkins until I found this site thanks to you all I'am learning. About three weeks ago while mounding vines{thanks}I lost track of my feet and steped on the dege of a pumpkin. The crack that I left is about 1.25 long. It is still growing at the rate of 2.5-3.0 a day. It has stoped bleeding and seems to be healing itself. Should I be worried that this crack may open back up as it grows? The crack did'nt seem to be very deep and was real close to the blossom end. One more ? went from 15-30-15 to 20-20-20- now from what I read I need say a 15-11-29 can't find anything close. Help ocrap=Ken

Thanks Alun,Think I'll use a sky hook to move around the patch. No touching of the ground means no smashing of the pumpkin. Ken

Age old organics/ENP has a high potasium fertilizer something like 5-10-40. Someone on this site posted the information and mine arrived yesterday. They can be found at www.fertilegrower.com. I looked all over locally for something of this nature last year and I could'nt find anything.

Hey guys.......i found some 0-0-60 here at what used to be an old grainery. I bet if you have something like a quality farm & fleet nearby, they would have some. I've been mixing mine 1/4 20-30-20 and 3/4 0-0-60 in 2 gal. containers, seems to be working out ok. Cuzbiker
