While I was cutting the lawn today I accedentally chopped off about 3 inches of one of my pumpkins main vine. Will it recover? It was where the new growth begins. Everytime something good happens something bad happens. Grrrr

Hi. Polly and I cut the ends of of all our runners and main vine, then we buried them so all nutrients would go to the pumpkin, a week latter the main vine broke out and started to run again with a side vine running with it and I mean we cut it and buried it what we thought was deep. so I would'nt worry to mutch ,just waint and see it will come back. <;-) H-K-J

One the secondaries will likely take off and you can train it as the main. All of my mains were cut off by a groundhog (along with most of my secondaries). Everything has since recovered and the plant is growing nicely. --Bruiser
