Hello, I just joined today to ask you all if my Giant Pumpkin should be orange already? I planted it in late May and am fertilizing with "Liquid Fish". Thank you all in advance.

hi brenny, i also planted in late may, two different plants. one's more orange and the other is more yellow. i think it has alot to do with genetics. i was similarly worrying that the orange one was maturing too soon, but i think it's still too early to tell. hope that helps

So it's possible that my orange pumpkin is still growing? I'm new at all this :-)

Sure. Use a soft measuring tape to measure the circumference (around the pumpkin). You should see growth on a daily basis, or at least every few days if it is growing slow. --Bruiser

Measure at even intervals from blossom to stem for the least invasive type of measuring. Graph the growth to determine rate of growth week over week/ compare to weather for the week and look for correlations. Gary Amateur Meteorologist
