well, i've come to the conclusion that i'm an idiot!! i broke the tip of the main vine on my 935 lloyd plant this morning. purely an accident, but i should have known better. just a word to the wise for some of you who dont' know, if you make any attempt to move a pumpkin, or a vine, do it at the end of the day. in the morning plants are less flexible, and are prone to snap, just like what i did this mornign. all is not lost however, there ahve been some big ones grown off of secondaries, so that's what i'm shooting for. my soil tests came back and i was very happy with the results, so now its time to pick myself up, and dust myself off. scott

f.s., thanks for the info but the problem is that just before i read your note i tried to reposition my 757 Dill. I dont know if it happened then or was already that way but the main vine is split 6inches long about 1 foot from the root. It looks like it got twisted coming down from the mound of dirt i had around it. HANDS OFF!! Hoping for the best.

Scott, sorry to hear about your misfortune. Thanks for sharing it with us. Hopefully you will still grow something big on the 935.
