CLONE REPORTS FROM ACROSS THE UNITED STATES Here is all the reports from across the country. I did first send everyone a previous report without the Gadberry update, and also had listed Jim Kilbert as a Washington grower rather than Pennsylvania {sorry Jim!}. The next update will be posted mid to late August, after everyone has given me a posting. I'll be bugging everyone once it is time to write the next one. So far, the Scherber clones are proving they just may grow a 1009 or better pumpkin. Seems like growing experience and techniques are the primary requirements in order to be able to do this. Still a long way to go till they are on the scales though. Good luck to everyone... TOM RORQUAL UPDATE ON 6-19-2001: {MARYLAND} My clone took off, after no growth since the day it came besides 2 leaves it is now 5-6 feet long. I have a pumpkin a little bigger than a cocoanut on my big max and several AGs TOM BEACHY UPDATE ON 6-25-2001: {INDIANA} The clone is in the top 4, in my 14 plant patch, so it is doing real good. I have 3 main vines on it and 2 are over 40 inches, small for this time of year, but all of my plants are like that do to the weather. It has healthy 12-14 inch leaves, and growing at highest rate of anythig in the patch. Thats it for now, I'll keep you posted.
