Hi All,
We were just wondering about whether or not you put some kind of plastic over the actual fruit when spraying pesticides and fertilizers. Does it hurt the skin of the pumpkin, or is it desireable to spray the actual fruit. If not, we can cover the fruit with plastic during applications. But what about the actual stem of the pumpkin and vines on either side of the stem -- Do you spray them?

Kids,
As long as you use them as directed, you should have no problems spraying the pumpkins. I started spraying mine last year, after I kept seeing cuke beetles on the fruits! I also put powdered cayenne on the young fruits to discourage pumpkin eating varmints, and have had no problems. p.s. how's that kilr pumpkin doin?
