I am in town but next to woods. Can't shoot them. Anyway to just make them not want to eat everything in sight.

Live trap 'em and get them out of town. Or sprinkle leaves with cayenne pepper powder. Woodchucks and pumpkins mix like oil 'n vinegar!

An electric fence wire at the bottom or top of your fence will do wonders. Readily available at Home Depot for under $50, comes in both 110V and 12V battery models. If that doesn't work you will need 'Blkcloud' to come over, no varnmit is safe.

I love this topic as I have a new battle every year ! I use Kilr's approach and give them new zip codes! Thought I was done this season but missus saw one yesterday morn scouting things out. Baited trap this evening with fresh tertiary cutttings which they can't resist.

They establish regular trails. Live leg hold trap them on your property. Stick a pitch fork through them and burry the buggers.
If you relocate them try a brick in a sack and toss it in the river. Never saw one back stroking a brick in a gunny sack.

My buddy was having a problem with skunks at his place. Set up a trap to try to catch the bugger. He heard a bunch of noise one night, and ran outside and quickly covered the trap with a tarp so he wouldn't get sprayed. He then drove the trap about 15 miles away, carefully removed the tarp, and opened the trap door with a string. He then saw the neighbors cat run out as fast as it could. We all hope the cat has found itself a good home, because it's never been seen again!
