I have had several females come to the vine but they either don't grow or the one that did never opened and started to wilt. Is this a problem of an extremely wet season here in N.J. or should I try to change my fertilizer. I applied some epsoma 0-46-0 to get some flowers going and that seemed to work. I have started to apply miracle gro again. the vines are doing great. no females any ideas?

Alexsdad....how big is your plant? More than 17 feet on the main? More than 13 feet on the first side vines? If not, some plants are just slow to throw females and it may in its own time pop a few...but if you've passed these lengths there might be a problem.........G

One vine is about twenty feet with some mild damage as posted in pest message board. put sevin on it and it is now thriving. females are coming on will see what happens now. I'll try and get some pictures in the diary today. I think that the garden is way to small for these giants. will rectify this next year. thanks for the help. chuck
