Can you believe it? Not once has a single male bloomed yet. The stems get about 2 inches long then the bud turns yellow and dies. I am watching three that the stems are about 8 inches long and the buds are turning a soft white. I have females(1-2 a day) that bloom. I last fertilized about a week ago w 18-18-21 Im going to lay off until I get some fruit set. Anybody with some input please reply. Good luck to me and everyone else........Pappy

You know....I'm gonna take a wild stab at this 'cause there's something thats puzzling me. You seem to have an aweful lot of females and few males with short stems that turn white and shrivel up. Don't make fun of me, but here goes nothing : are you calling the males females and visa versa? Males= long stems,no fruit under bloom, and thinner flowers before opening. Females= shorter stems, fruit (ball) under flower, broader flowers at the base. Just curious..........G

Pappy,

I have had the same problem. I have females blooming all over the place and males that just haven't bloomed yet. I must have at least 25 females blooming and no males. Am I crazy or what. I will even send a picture to prove it. I deffinately know the difference between the male and females too. This is getting very frusting.
