Yesterday, a female opened on my 945 Van. I used a male to fertilize from the same plant. The only other open males were on a plant in my other patch .....about 50 feet away. I then covered the fertilized blossem with a baggie. This morning the blossem had not closed so I refertilized with another male from the same plant. How soon can I tell when she is set?

4 days after successful pollination I had mine at tennis ball size, worked. But aborts in later stages might still be possible.

Once it gets to basketball size in should make it. Don't make you culling decisions until you have one that big.
