I know this will sound like a stupid question but I have to know, so... Do the male blossums open more than one day on AG's? I am pretty sure that they do, but I would like to make sure. And if they open more than once is the pollen still good the next day or so? They produce pollen for more than one day don't they?
Stupid questions from ignorant little me..... Justin:)

Sometimes they will appear open on the second day, but certainly not the hulking macho male he was yesterday. I know of no-one who can say they used two day old pollen and successfully pollinated....other than feezing etc......I don't even recall seeing a second day old male flower with any real amount of pollen left. If its there its usually wet and pastey, not ideal pollen. Furthermore, its unprotected....that means any bee/bug that was in the male flower foraging for food may have left bastard squash pollen behind.....or Hubbard !..................G

Try it....cover two days...pollinate a female....and tell us what you get. We can put this topic to rest....its been asked by quite a few people but noone wants to waste a female on the test..........G
