Well, I have a small, real small patch with somewhat limited sun.....I wouldn't guess it would be me.Mark P is growing a dynomite Andrews seed, as is Pumpkinpicker and a few others. Alun's growing the 565Andrews which gave Hiedi a 823.8 last year.....so he's got to be good for at least 300 or maybe even 400lbs if someone helps him.Its going to be a big year for squash with Brett, Larue, and others out west, and a bunch in the midwest...should be interesting.....G

If mine turn out to be a squash, I will grow it along with my pumpkin and win two divisions at the local weighoff, then collect my prize money for both. hehehehehe!

I like squash.. I am planning on growing one or two next year. I odered some seeds from this site, from the 627 Neuville. but I then saw a pic. in the photo gallery it wasn't a true green squash it was one of those 25%-ters. So it is not likely to throw a squash, but I will find some seeds before next season.

Justin....yeah...i was mad, it was a pumpkin.....it took 2nd as a squash, but it should have taken 11th as a pumpkin. Was grown from the 787 Kline which has (hidden)squash genetics probably, but not sure if it has thrown a squash...1006 greer in progency, but i crossed it with the 788 Wentzell and that will keep it from throwing squash for sure. Anyone's best bet for a squash with seeds from this site would have been from the 411 Inzero* squash(535 Wolf* selfed)...actually, would be guarnteed green if it was selfed and closed with no forgien pollen getting in there.

I had some of the 535 Wolf seeds this year but the seedlings didn't look so good so i didn't plant them. I went with the 663 Dill, the 663 slowed way down after I transplanted it... so now i real wish I would have went with the 535.

Justin

At least I have some 627 Neuville ''pumpkin'' seeds for next year.

you'll probably get some better pumpkin seeds for next year than my 627.....make sure you send me an email this winter and i will send some from my crosses this year...probably will be better producers than my 627.....

sounds good to me...I will send you some of my seeds if you want them... they will probally be the (769 Wentzell x self) .... You can have some seeds from the biggest pumpkin ever grown in Kentucky... at least i hope that I can give it that title....

How does it feel to grow something that big???

Thanks Justin
